Free small business workshop to be held on July 24
The U.S. Small Business Administration will be hosting a free training workshop on sustaining small rural business in Macon.
Macon Electric Cooperative will host the event Wednesday, July 24 at 31571 Business Highway 36 East in Macon. Representatives from the Small Business Administration and the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development Agency will present the workshop from 10 a.m. to noon.
The “Rural Strong Workshop: Powering Rural Small Businesses” session will feature presentations on the SBA and USDA Rural Development Lending Programs. The workshop will also feature presentations about Rural Loan Fee reductions, SBA incentives, small business and entrepreneurship services and more.
Local government and community organization representatives are also invited to attend.
The SBA and USDA have partnered to host roundtables and trainings in rural America to help start, grow and expand small businesses. They plan to improve investment opportunities in rural areas, develop new strategies for rural technical assistance providers and provide tools for rural businesses to export products around the world.
