MEC Hosts Live Line Demo for Bevier C-3 and Macon R-1 High School Students

Macon Electric Cooperative, in cooperation with Northeast Missouri Electric Power Cooperative, sponsored an electrical safety demonstration on Wednesday, October 26th for 9 - 12^th grade students at Bevier school in the morning and Macon in the afternoon.

Macon Electric Cooperative Recognized for Safe Work

Macon Electric Cooperative, Macon, was one of 35 Missouri electric cooperatives recognized for working safely. Employees of the cooperative have now worked a total of 160,611 hours without a lost time accident.

MEC and CV’s ‘Co-ops in Action’ Volunteer to Paint Jacksonville Community Park

The Co-ops in Action third quarter project was recently completed for the town of Jacksonville. MEC and CV worked to improve the community park by cleaning up and painting buildings, playground equipment, and light fixtures.

Macon area students embark on Missouri Youth Tour 2022

Four delegates were chosen to represent Macon Electric Cooperative at the 2022 National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Youth Tour. The delegates chosen, Ella Bruno from Macon R-1 High School, Ava Williams from North Shelby High School, Gentry Perkins and Shelby Stull from Atlanta C-3 High School, were given the “trip of a lifetime.”

Co-ops in Action Spruce Up Shelby County Courthouse and Extension Center

MACON, MO – Chariton Valley (CV) and Macon Electric Cooperative (MEC) joined together to positively impact the communities they serve with their ‘cooperative’ program, ‘Co-ops in Action’. This project is a joint effort between the two cooperatives, where together they dedicate time and employees to tackle work projects for the communities they serve.

Many people associate ownership with money; and that is no different with your ownership of the co-op. As a member, a portion of what you pay on your electric bill is returned to you.
