RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Macon Electric Cooperative has invested time andresources for the last 58 years in developing therural communities of northeast Missouri. With theaddition of the Enterprise Center, which wasinitiated by the Cooperative, we are committed to thegrowth and prosperity of the service area. Theproductive future of the Cooperative is part of thesuccess of rural residents and the communities weserve. This work continues with a strong programwhich includes:
- Assistance with community planning throughcommunity assessment and aid with grant writing
- Support of small business start-up and expansionthrough business planning assistance.
- A revolving loan fund for small businessassistance.
- Small business skill training classes andseminars.
- Referrals to a wide variety of resources fromstate, federal and private sources.
