Energy Star® Appliance Rebates
Macon Electric Cooperative offers rebates on the following Energy Star rated appliances.  These rebates will be given as a credit on your electric account.  In order to receive the rebate, please complete the applications and form listed below. Please return all documents to our office (within 90 days of your purchase) with a copy of your dated sales receipt.    

Window Air Conditioner -- $50
*Must be Energy Star Rated.
Energy Star Water Heater/AC Rebate Application

Clothes Washer -- $100
*Must have an electric water heater.
*Must be Energy Star Rated.
Energy Star Clothes Washer & Dishwasher Rebate Application

Dishwasher -- $50
*Must have an electric water heater.
*Must be Energy Star Rated.

Water Heaters
New Home/Remodel - $100
Replacing Electric - $50
Replacing Gas with Electric- $100

*Must be 40 gallons or larger.
*Must be 90% or greater in efficiency.
*MUST NOT be heated using any other fuel source (i.e. wood stove, etc)

*Must agree to and complete the Water Heater Agreement as well as the Energy Star Water Heater/AC Rebate Application.

Heat Pumps
Macon Electric Cooperative offers rebates and incentives on both dual fuel and ground source heat pump systems.  In order to receive a rebate for one of these systems, please complete the appropriate Take Control & Save Rebate Application and return it to our office (within 90 days of your purchase) with a copy of your dated sales receipt.  If you or your contractor has questions regarding the eligibility of your HVAC equipment, please contact our office prior to installation to insure you will qualify for the rebates listed.  
Dual Fuel System -- $150 per ton Ground Source (geothermal) System -- $750 per ton
*Must be an air-source heat pump with high efficiency propane or natural gas backup heating.
*The eligibility requirements and rebate details for dual fuel systems are listed on the Dual Fuel Heat Pump Rebate Application. Please review and discuss the Dual Fuel Heat Pump Rebate Application with your HVAC contractor.
Note: Macon Electric Cooperative offers a special rate for qualifying dual fuel systems. In order to take advantage of this special rate, please review, complete and return a copy of the Macon Electric Cooperative Dual Fuel Agreement. 		* The eligibility requirements and rebate details for ground source systems are listed on the Ground Source Heat Pump Rebate Application. Please review and discuss the Ground Source Heat Pump Rebate Application with your HVAC contractor.
*In order to insure your ground source heat pump installation will qualify for the rebate listed, we strongly recommend having a Residential Energy Audit conducted by MEC.
