Ground Source Heat Pump Systems

At Macon Electric Cooperative we not only provide rebates on Ground Source Heat Pump Systems, but we also sell and install them.  If you would like more information on the cost to install a ground source system in your home, please contact our office. For new home construction -- we will need a copy of your house plans and details about the construction of the home.  For existing homes -- we will need to conduct a Residential Energy Audit to insure proper sizing and rebate qualifications.

Loans:

Members may be eligible for Macon Electric Cooperative’s ground source heat pump loan program. For more details on this program, please view our Ground Source Heat Pump Loan policy. In order to apply for the loan program it is necessary to fill out a credit application. All credit applications are approved by the Board of Directors during regular monthly Board Meetings. 

Homeowners/Contractors:

* The eligibility requirements and rebate details for ground source systems are listed on the Take Control & Save Ground Source Heat Pump Rebate Application. Please review and discuss the Take Control & Save Ground Source Heat Pump Rebate Application with your HVAC contractor.
*In order to insure your ground source heat pump installation will qualify for the rebate listed, we strongly recommend having a Residential Energy Audit conducted by MEC.
